Reaching out for input!!
Hey all,
I recently started looking to replace my stock tires and want to get some input. I have searched the site and gotten a lot of great information and here is where I ran into my cross road. These are my first actual Truck tire purchase that I didn't just put stock back on.
STOCK: Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT: 275/65/R18 SL Width:11" height 32".
New Tires: BFG KO2's:
LT275/65R18/E 123 R Width 11" Height 32"
LT285/65R18/E 125 R Width 11.5" Height 32.5"
LT275/70R18/E 125 R Width 11" Height 33.2"
LT265/70R18/E 124 R Width 10.7" Height 32.6"
Option 2 Nitto Ridge Grappler:
LT275/65R18 E 123/120Q Width 11" Height 32"
LT275/70R18 E 125/122Q Width 11" Height 33.19"
LT285/65R18 E 125/122Q Width 11.5" Height 32.5"
Anyone have input on weather or not any of these sizes will fit my stock height, and stock rims on the SCREW Sport 4x4? My only concern is it seems the 285's call for a 8" rim and I'm sure my stock is 7.5"??
Opinions welcome on the comparison of tires please.
My truck use: Towing light campers not often and no really heavy loads in the bed. My truck see's a lot more highway then off road but I do spend a lot of my time in the AZ deserts (this is why my stocks gotta go, already two flats due to the rocky terrain). So what might work best overall for me? I also like quieter tires.

I was in a dilemma when I couldn't make up my mind on 275/70 or 285/65 on stock 18s. Well, Discount Tire (around here) made it easy for me when they said they wouldn't mount 285s because the minimum is 8" wide wheels. Stock 18s are 7.5 so I went with the 275. I'm actually glad I got the 275. The only difference I believe between the 275 and 285 is that the 275 are 1/2" taller whereas 285s are 1/2" wider. I rather take the extra height.
Note I am referring to KO2s. And also never had ride issues with E Rated tires. I think people air them up too much (just my opinion). I'm at 40psi.

Working in the industry I would advise you against a load range E. It's not only the ride quality but they also tend to wear faster. Also, they obviously need much more psi to obtain their load carrying capacity.
Admittedly, even though I am in the repair industry I leave the tire busting to my general service guys so I couldn't say for certain how large you could go without rubbing. I do know that we tend to have better luck with the K02's then we do the Nitto's.
You'll be fine with the rim width regardless of your decision. (Again, I would opt for a lighter C load rating if those sizes will accommodate.)
