Radio/screen dead
My 2016 F-150 Lariat has had no major issues since I bought it two years ago. Today, I got in my truck this morning to find that the touch screen/radio is dead. No power on the USB ports either. Never had even the slightest issue with it up until now. Seems like there is no power to the unit.
I am going to check the fuse box shortly... am I correct in that fuse 33 in the passenger compartment fuse box drives the entire unit?
In the event the fuse is blown, I am concerned about what might have caused it. Anyone know of any other threads on this?

When this happened this morning I restarted car a few times and it did not fix it.
Of course, I just went out at lunch to check fuse, and decides to start it again just to check... and screen came on fine with no issue. Strange. Mainly because it was definitely dead with no power at all this morning... does anyone know if there is anything in the power path from fuse to head unit? Any other power switching or controller?

My 2018 xlt was about 3 days old, I got in, and screen/radio was dead. Completely black. After a little digging on Google, I found a similar problem. The fix they recommended was holding the power button and forward seek for about 10-15 seconds.. I tired it and it worked like a charm! Apparently that's supposed to be some kind of power reset for the computer. No problems since.

Was going to mention that this is the way to power it on. It appears that at times the unit doesn't get the notice to turn on when the truck starts and you have to manually do it.
There is an update for the APIM that corrects the issue, had it done on mine last year soon after I got the truck, and have not had an issue since. Surprised that a 2018 has had it though, you would think it would be cured by now.
