I have a 2016 with sync 3 1.0
Lately when my phone is playing music through Bluetooth the radio loses Bluetooth signal and switches back to fm/am.
I also have had issues where I turn the truck on and the screen goes blank and stays blank until i shut the truck off and then back on.
Is this a problem other people have had or just me?

I suggest trying a system reset. Press and hold both the SEEK UP and POWER buttons for about 5 seconds. The screen will go black and take about 1-2 minutes to complete.

Well so far i have reset the radio twice and each time it did it again after

 

I've run into an issue as well on my 16 Lariat. The Variable Speed Volume feature has stopped working all of a sudden. No matter what I have it set on, Off, Low, Mid, or High, the volume stays the same no matter what speed I'm traveling. It used to work, but over the past week or so I have noticed that it's not changing the volume level anymore. Would a system reset take care of this issue, ya think? And when you say Power button, are you talking about the Radio Power button in the Volume ****? Or the push button ignition start button.

 

OMG don't get me started on mine! What a POS.


Dropping mine off next week AGAIN. Voice commands don't work half the time, Cant ever find a Bluetooth device, wont recognize anything plugged into the USB most of the time, when the USB does work it sounds like Im playing a scratched and skipping record and now this week it finally stopped pairing to my phone or anyone elses. My GF is afraid to ride in the truck with me because I get so pissed off at it when it decides not to work.

 

The radio is still kicking my phone off Bluetooth what should I do with it now?

 

upgrading to 1.1 might help, but I don't know for sure.

 

1.1 isn't available for me my ford owner says I'm updated and the truck should update itself when ready and connected to wifi

 

^ I believe v1.1 requires a dealer visit update. Not available OTA.

Although this speed volume feature is set using SYNC, the functionality is not apart of SYNC's software. A system reset might not help.

bhamilton & JAMADOR are both correct. Version 1.1 was released sue to issues with some systems. It's can only be installed at the dealer which is my next recommendation. Keep me posted.
