Amazing how many people cling to brand loyalty. V1 is basically a flip phone now. Without GPS and a database and effective filtering, might as well not have a detector. Since the big breakthrough of the V1 was the arrows and multiple target counting and is now available elsewhere, no idea why people still think it's the best.

I never said it was the best but it serves the same purpose. It hasn't failed me yet. In my mind it's equal to. I don't need GPS.

When you get drowned in false alarms you tend to tune it out.

I have 3 or 4 places in my town where I get false alarms; I tune those out automatically but if there is more than the one signal my V1 tells me. Outside of my normal driving I don't know where the falses are for sure to program them out with GPS so that's of not much use to me. Certainly not enough to pay a lot more for.

Because their arrows are still the most accurate and responsive and their detection range has almost always been the best you can get? (Though you can spend hundreds more for others.)
I'm sure we've all got our preference and nobody's mind will be changed by the back-and-forth but Valentine definitely has not gone out of business.

Guess you haven't read any recent comparison tests. No longer more accurate, responsive or longest range.

You’d think they would modernize the looks after all these years.

Still playing catch up. Range isn't the issue. False alarms are.
