Default Question on backup camera

Hello ....

I am about to order a new 150 ... and have a question on the backup camera.

Can I have the tailgate camera and the "top of cab" camera which looks into the bed?

I would like use the tailgate camera when backing up .. and the cab camera to monitor the load while driving.

thanks in advance

You could ADD another camera if you want I guess. Some people have figured out how to tap into the screen in the dash, but it would be easier I think to just add another screen on your dash. What kind of stuff do you need to monitor in the bed while you're driving?

I'm not sure that the factory high mount camera from the new F250 would be visible while you are in any gear but reverse. You wouldn't be able to check in on it while driving. But I could be wrong.

Invest in a good set of tie downs and make sure your insurance policy on the bike covers transport damage or the policy on the truck covers cargo damage.

I would think the biggest chance for catastrophe would be getting it up into or down out of the bed. Once they are tied down properly there is little chance for disaster.

Besides. Think how terrible you would feel if you hit a brother rider while staring at your bike on a screen...

I have been looking at front/side cameras on camera-source.com. They have a system that is compatible with Sync 2 or 3 (not Lockpick) that has 4 camera inputs and is plug and play with the 8" screen. I believe I saw a third brake light camera as well on their site.

You have to bear with me ... I don't have the vehicle yet ... not sure how the Synch stuff works.

Are you saying it "blue tooths" (or however the synch stuff work) into the system?

If so .. that would be fantastic ... since it would solve the "only in reverse" issue as well.

Additionally it would be great if I end up getting an enclosed trailer.

Thank you very much ... going to have to research the stuff.

Does the system "wirelessly" connect to the factory system?

It is a module that has the input ports, with a plug and play harness. You are able to see the camera views on your MFT 8" screen. Works along side the OEM back-up camera. From what I understand you can toggle between different camera views with a push of the radio button.
