Default Push start?

Does the new F150 have keyless push start? I looked around and did not find any details.

Yes they do. After many years delay, light duty trucks have finally entered the modern era of automotive technology.

Yes they call it "Intelligent Access with Push Button Start".

I'm getting all of this from the pricing guide someone posted, I downloaded it.

Well that solidifies that I will be getting an XLT as I HATE push button start. Too many problems with the technology still. I know several people with different brands that have ended up trading their cars/suvs in after less than a year because of this, I hope the F-150 does better but I won't be risking it.

Push button start is no different than what we have now except your activating the module that controls the starter with a button instead of a key turning, which by the way is sending an electrical signal to the module/relay.

You can prove it for your self, don't hold the key in the start position, just bump it to start and release, the engine continues to crank until it starts.

Same thing with remote start, just triggering the start module/relay.

Your experience may vary depending on year model, I have a 13.

Yes, a great feature to have! This is probably the thing I miss most on my 14 FX4 after my previous Audi Q7. It was great to just open the door and start the vehicle without having to rummage around in your pocket to find where the key actually was

yup and it even has to detect the chip in the key in order for the engine to start just like pushbutton does.

only difference is the way door locks work and that you don't have to stick an object into your car/truck with pushbutton start. it essentially all works the same though.
