Problems with IPod connection............
I have a 2020 model and i have been having a lot of issues with my iPod connection. It disconnects at random (while still physically connected) or doesn't connect at all. I thought it was the cable so i replaced it but it is still doing the same things. I like listening to the music that i down load it not what Sirius want's me to listen to. As any one else had this same issue? Your input is appreciated.
Not sure, i and the original owner have never messed with it. ,I haven't even given permission to receive any updates (this could be the real problem). My screen looks different to any other Ford F-150 screen that i have seen so far.
You should be able to find it under settings > about or if you go under settings > updates it should give you an option to view the version. I'd have to go turn my truck on to remember exactly. The OTA updates for sync 3 sucks, so if you wanted to update just put in your vin and follow the directions from ford

Ford had pushed and recalled a funky version of 3.4 a year ago or so, I believe it was 23088. It had a long list of issues including spotty connectivity for carplay and what not. Hopefully that isn't the version you are on as getting off of it is a major chore. If you're not on that, updating to the latest one should be as simple as following the Ford website.

wait, do you have the radio with the 4" screen?
I do believe you can still download an update for those via Ford (put your vin in and it'll tell you) but I haven't personally messed with one of those. All the trucks I've messed with have the 8" display.
Yes, it's a 4 inch screen. I went to the Ford site punched in my VIN and it told me that i presently have Sync 3.4.19295 and that Sync 3.4.23188 is available but no instructions on how to install it.
