If the window reaches the top, then goes immediately back down, it's probably a programming issue. Some vehicles, you can fix it by lifting both p/w switches at the same time for several seconds. Others need to go to the dealer for programming.

Don't remember the exact steps but correcting the auto up/down is in the manual

Mine has started doing it where right before it closes, it just sends itself right back down. was going to have them check it at the next oil change.

Did you happen to hit a bump while it was going up? There is some sort of anti pinch sensor on the windows now. I find mine opening back up if I hit a bump while trying to auto close...

I thought I had a loose screw! My passenger front door has done that several times, just before it closes it goes back down. I have simply just shut it a second time. I guess next oil change I will tell the dealer. I figure I will simply get the standard response, problem has to occur for us to actually fix it properly. What are the odds of that happening for them! will see!

I live on dirt roads, for the moment, and it happens all the time.

Maybe it is the bump thing, that'd be pretty strange. It happens to me alot when I am about to go through a big puddle on a back road and I want the window up so I don't get a soaking.

This. Took me a while to figure this out but yes, it's the anti-pinch sensor. When you hit a bump, it thinks the window hit an object on its way up. On a very bumpy road, you sometimes just have to hold the button up while it's closing and it won't do that.

Just had it happen to me- had been in the sun for awhile with the window down. When I ran my finger along the weatherstripping to spread it, the window would stay up, so I thought maybe the heat caused the weatherstripping to swell, making the gap smaller?????
