I have a new 2019 F150 Limited. First, I can't believe this truck does not have a lockable tailgate. Does anyone know of an aftermarket power tailgate lock? Pop and Lock does not seem to have one compatible and neither does the Leer manufacturer.

Your truck already has a power locking tailgate as standard equipment .

 

Locks and unlocks with the power door locks.

 

My 18 Lariat has it.

 

My 2018 STX has this.

 

My 2019 XLT has one. Hard to believe an "upper model" has less on it than my "lower" one.

 

 

Come on guys, read the Manuel, the power tailgate lock is standard on the 19 Limited. You use your key fob. Every time the doors lock, the tailgate locks. You can lock or unlock with fob, plus, if you have fob in pocket, you just touch tailgate release and it unlocks. A nice feature. It is all there. The truck has so many features, it takes a while to learn them all.

 

Too funny. I had my FOB in my pocket. Unlock the doors.....open tailgate. Lock the doors.....open tailgate. I just didn't realize the auto feature when the key FOB is with me.
