Default rear brackets

The brackets in my 2015 F150 Lariat are not exactly like the ones in the video. Those brackets look like seperate pieces and the ones in my truck are apart of the entire frame. The fix might be the same just an FYI. One other thing when I flex the back window I don't notice the noise I'm hearing in my truck. When I hear my rattle when I'm driving, I open the curtain half way to the middle, I open the sun roof to vent 2 to 3 times then close it. The rattle goes away for a short time, maybe 10 to 20 miles maybe shorter depending on how bumpy the roads are. Not real sure if this is the same deal or not but I am going to do the TSB at the very least. I'm going to try to attach the 2 different brackets.

After seeing more posts on this, I think my brackets look like others I've seen posted. So I will try the fix.

I attempted this about a week ago on my Raptor, and after 20 minutes I got so mad I gave up and decided I would try again later. I'm going to attempt this again this weekend. I just couldn't get the felt exactly where I wanted/needed it to get. I wish I could train my 4 year old to do it, his smaller hands will definitely help. How did you guys get it done so easily/quickly? Am I missing something? Am I just not holding my tongue and toes the right way?

Thank you IronCobra for this find!

Mine makes noise / rubs were it mates at the very front... It is quiet for a bit right after lub, but it always comes back after a short while. it stops when it freezes though.

The space is tight but if you loosen the screws and let the glass panel drop down as far as possible, you should be able to insert the felt. Maybe use some long tweezers to hold the edge of the felt and slip it into position?

Did you do follow the TSB with the Krytox and lube everywhere as instructed? All a I can say is I did that and it’s been quiet ever since.

I'm going to head to Lowes later to see what they sell. I've seen varying opinions, whats a good recommendation? I see furniture pads, electrical tape, window seal (probably too thick).

I think I just ran into the same issue as you, I don't see where the separation is so I don't have the option to add felt. At least that's the way I'm seeing it, I could be missing something though. I'm uploading photos now.

edit: After reading through the thread again maybe I'm just dumb. So are you adding the tape kind of behind the tab? I was under the impression it would be an obvious metal to metal contact on the top, but I'm starting to see how that's not the case.

I got my 2018 in to a dealer who actually gives a **** last week. The service manager immediately identified my issues after we went for a quick ride. My left rear door was misaligned (striker position, apparently) and the rear half of the pano roof glass was kinda tweaked, so it sat too low at the rear and a bit high on the left side. He is adjusting both and said it should cure the rattle noises I've been hearing. Will see how it goes once I get it back.
