I had MFT so I just swapped my brackets from that. Or find someone that has them or make some. I haven't seen just the brackets for sale. And yes the pre part number is the year/model for the whole screen including the brackets

As for the sync module with nav, will any sync module from 2016-2018 work? I'm guessing they are not vehicle specific. I.e. Fusion, f250, or other should work once programmed to my f150

I have been trying to score a SYNC III unit for a couple of weeks with no luck. Had my order cancelled twice. I searched car-parts & LKQ almost daily you would think these apim's would be plentiful.

I had an APIM and screen non nav. Listed it for under 400.00 for a long time. No one wanted it. Ended up separating the two and selling them just over 100 each.

Just look for the screen not the APIM. Most yards sell them together for a good price.

That makes sense about the screen part number I think LKQ must do the same thing.

I went through 3 screens/apims from LKQ when I first converted my 2015. My advise is stay away from LKQ. No quality control at all. They literally ship the screen/apim combo in an empty box, no wrapping whatsoever and, if you're stuck with a bad or damaged unit, it'll take them 3-4 weeks to refund you.

They're horrible to deal with so I wouldnt suggest you look with them.

I bought one from a yard in Colorado. The unit came from the private yard but had an lkq bar code attached to it. I’ve had no issues from it. I’m wondering if they were supplying parts to lkq and had tagged it for that purpose.
