Once I get the unit I need, how would I go about programing it?

the apim for nav for a '16 look for second to last char in the part number C or K. On a '17 look for C.
I pulled the sync 3 off of a 17 Mustang. The last 3 letters are FBD. Is it a non nav unit?

I only ask because it has the blue fakra plug still in it from where the yard cut it.

does the module need a fakra regardless of if it is a nav or not?

Mine was from a Lincoln. Now I'm wondering if i got one from a vehicle with Sync Connect, if everything was all inclusive or if there's a separate module in the vehicle someplace.

Oh well, i got the screen and apim for $250 so I'm not going to be too upset. Android auto will have to suffice for navigation.

Thanks!

assuming it's a f150 then it would be a direct swap. There are two different screens. One with flat sides the other with an indentation. Both will work but the indentation one will require the brackets to be modified. Either non nav or nav apim will work.

You need the screen and apim look for a screen with SC as the last chars then you don't have to modify your brackets.
Just wanted to thank @lucas8888 for the info above. It was a huge help in locating the correct Sync3 screen with NAV.

Cheers!
