Default Poor windshield on 2018

I’ve been driving this 2018 for about a month now and I’m noticing in the sun some imperfections in the windshield glass. It looks like snow a lot of granularity or specs in it. Has anyone experienced this before? Do you think it’s worth returning to the dealer to replace?

I think I know what you're talking about. My truck and the Explorer has these little, I mean very little, specs that can only be seen at certain sunlight angles. It's so minor that I doubt my phone could even take a pic of it. But the specs don't impair my visibility so it doesn't bother me. I would try to see some other vehicles on the lot and if you could get the timing right with the sun before having the dealer rip out a glass.

I think the glass sucks. Lots of little specs from tiny rocks and sand. Looks like sparkles in the sun. I also replaced it within the first year of ownership because of a bunch of cracks. Had some chips that I repaired but they cracked anyways. Not even 6 months later, all chipped and cracked up again. Never bothered replacing it and still driving around with a cracked up windshield. I think I'll go non-OEM when I replace it this time as I think this "SoundScreen" glass really sucks.

In comparison, I drove my Nissan Xterra for 9 years with the original windshield, only 2 chips (repaired), never cracked, and was much clearer than my windshield in the F150 is. The Xterra was also lifted and the windshield was the same height as my F150. Ford glass just sucks.

It doesn't sound like he's experiencing the bubbles from delamination. It's thousands of micro chips from sand, but they're very visible when the sun hits it right. I have the same issue. It's like my windshield was sandblasted. I've never seen it this bad before.

If it wasn't noticed and brought to the dealer's attention at time of delivery I wish the OP the best of luck getting it replaced under warranty.

I thought it was my microfiber towel leaving residue. Going to look at this some more. It really shows up under certain conditions.
