Default Poor Quality Control. Whats gone wrong with your truck

I was so looking forward to my new truck. Got rid of my 2010 XLT just as cab corners started to rot.

Upgraded big time for me to Lariat Special Edition 5L 502A. Loved the look of it and toys it had. Bought 2016 as not to get first year problems but damn got a ton anyways.

So what are gone wrong with everyone else's truck. And yes I know there is another thread about gripes but these are more then just gripes.

Here's my list. All this before 20000kms

1) Rear end kick out. ---- I Put Fox 2.0 on
2) Frozen door lock/latches. --- TSB done we will see this winter!
3) Whistle noise pre shift ---- After 5 attempts dealership finally listened and took apart and cleaned throttle body as found this solution on forum from tdawg757 done via warranty
4) Brake noise and vibration ---- Front Rotors replaced via warranty
5) Brake noise still after about----- Rear rotors machine, parking brake seized, rear pads seized in calipers. Done via warranty
6) Water sloshing in passenger A pilar---- Moonroof replaced via warranty
7) Grinding driver's side hub. Only happened once---- Dealership said to drive it and they noted it in system in case happens again. Has not yet.
8) Cooled seat back does nothing ----- Nothing done yet about it. TSB for it and also kit on here to improve it.
9) Glue / Weld job on pass side roof panel---- wobbly. Mine not as bad as many others I have seem.
10) Wiper cowl piece broke off right away--- Nothing done as almost every truck on lot did not have it.
11) Rattles and wind noise are more of a gripe so not counting that.

It has gotten to the point that no one notices when my truck is not in my driveway as I have had a rental or different vehicle so often due to mine being at dealership.

Quality of these trucks are very poor from what I have experienced. I understand most things have been fixed under warranty but I wouldn't expect this many issues.

Let's hear what everyone else has had .

I have a love hate relationship with my truck right now but still look back at it when I leave it.

I have a similar laundry list on my 15 3.5 eco lariat plus much more cosmetic issues like peeling wheels and step bars. Also just wacky things like engine losing all gears and coasting while running, dying at stop lights, dying accelerating onto freeways but it's only done this a handful of times so dealer can't replicate. I have been to the dealer with this truck more times then all my other vehicles combined (im 40). My most recent was a leaking rear end just fixed this past Friday Im almost to 34k miles. I typically keep them 6+ years but I really worried if I'm going to encounter some serious out of pocket before I make it there as I'm just over 2 years now.

It's a nice truck, tows the boat well, and looks really good so I try not to complain to anyone or on here much anymore as it just gets me in a crapy mood but let's just say I'm really interested in what the new rams will look like. Was considering a f250 but I think I'm done with Ford for a while. I have had issues with my wife's explorer limited as well. Lack of QC or just plain old lack of care like most other industries these days with the current generation of the labor work force, I know it's not all of them. My rant over.

No problems with my 15. My moonroof would stick but I greased the edges and it works great now.

My wife has a 2011 Grand Cherokee (OMG first model year!) and its been awesome......

that is an extensive list, and that can't be the norm or ford would never make money!

My GF and me both have new fords, I have an f150 (obviously) and she has a '17 explorer, has 800 miles on it. There are two straps on the explorer to fold the rear seats, I pulled one of the straps with a SINGLE finger and it broke, I literally used very little power. She looked at me like I overpowered it and broke it lol. She got over it in a few minutes, hopefully the warranty covers that....

Fords new motto is "Quantity over Quality" right now, and trust me, this is going to bite them in the *** really soon.

if that's true, whomever made that decision should be fired. Quality is paramount for longevity.

I hate threads like this. I'm all excited because I ordered a 2018 Lariat, and now it's like "Oh no.....". I think, hope, pray, that the majority of F-150's don't have these long list of problems. We bought a 2016 Tucson with the 1.6L turbo and 7-speed dual clutch transmission about 18 months ago. The internet is full of complaints about the transmission not working properly. But ours is perfect, and we haven't had a single issue. Seems like it's just a crapshoot with what you get with a mass produced vehicle.
