Seat cooling problem which the dealer fixed right away. No other problems, 2 years old, and 38K miles

Mine is still relatively new <1000 mi and <1 mo of ownership. No issues other than lower quality materials than in the past.
The only complaint (if I had to have one) is the fabric on the 40/20/40 seat back (arm rest), it is like sand paper on your skin.

Had 2 runs in the paint
All door lock and latches replaced
Transmission reflashed
Chrome peeled off grill
Highmount 3rd brake/Cargo light melted
All of which ford didnt bat an eye at fixing. Now for the little things not fixed...
Infamous frowning front bumper
Roof seams are sloppy looking
Transfer case or front dif hums
Rear bumper not centered to the box and some poor body panel alignment bit nothing you would notice unless it was pointed out to you. I did paint the under side twice now, I have always done this to my trucks but a brand new off the lot truck with a rusty dif cover and axle drove me insane lmao
I know I'm picky but for the price I want as close to perfection as possible. My dealer has taken good care of me and I'm very glad I got the esp even tho they rented me a 2016 Silverado pick up for the 2 weeks mine was getting paint and locks done lol altho that helped me confirm why I've always bought f150's. It would have been a pain with no loner tho. Over all I'm satisfied with my truck and like any complete remodel (Mines a 15) there is bound to be some kinks to be worked out. I have almost 30 000km and have not hade any major failures. Quality controll could be alittle more strict but I guess mass production would only allow so much time per unit.

That being said, KCAP usually scores a little better in the quality department. Not because they "build" a better truck. But because DTP assembles more higher end trucks. More options, more things to go wrong.

Ford has produced millions of these trucks at this point since 2015, I see some common reoccurring problems ( sound from hubs or diff, leaking moon roofs/drain issues/ frozen door locks. Those are the ones I see. I believe the hub/door locks issue is bad parts from a supplier (probably thousands), the transfer case for some on here was fixed with drive shaft alignment issues, and it seems the drain tube for the moon roof is a bad design. No doubt there are some design flaws and supplier issues with the first few years of a complete redesign. I however and it seems millions of other truck owners are happy and received good builds. There are probably a few thousand people on this forum most of whom are not having serious issues with their truck, and probably a few hundred having issues....... There are still millions more that must be either satisfied or just driving around with catastrophic failures because I can't get on the road without seeing tons of F150's. Keep in mind it seems everyone believed the 14 model year to be the best, well it should have been after app many years of production. These production issues will get sorted out as Ford knows their bread and butter is in these pickups.

Funny, i just read the same rant on my yamaha boat forum, the guy's hypothesis is the quality control is crap and don't buy this particular yamaha boat (2016-2017 model year).
Point being, it can happen to ANY item you purchase.

Haven't had my 2017 a full week yet, but quality seems great so far. Took it on a family trip to the lake, was great on the freeway and no significant wind noise or anything like that.
Again, I know a couple hundred miles don't prove out much, but at least initial quality wise it's a very solid truck. Time will tell.
