Default Phone not syncing to BT

The other morning when I got in my truck I noticed my phone was not synced to to the truck.

I tried to sync it but I keep getting BT initializing on Sync. I have tried a master reset and no change. I can not turn BT off as it says BT initializing.

Any DIY fixes or back to the shop ?

THanks,

Mine did this 4 days after I bought it. A month later Im have no BT,it wont control my Ipod, when I plug my Iphone into the USB plug it just disconnects after a few songs,My subwoofer stopped working for 48hrs then came back on and Sync voice commands will do everything other than the thing I ask it.

Getting very pissed off. My '12 wasn't even this bad.

Had the same thing happen to mine, called the 800 number in the owners manual and they walked me through how to reboot the radio and has worked since.

Same here. It's very easy to do. It takes about five -ten minutes.

Hi thsmith,

Rebooting the system is the same thing as a master reset. Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/setup/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html Get back to me when you get the chance.

I have done 3 master resets and it still shows BT initializing. Even when I try to turn BT off.

I have this SYnc, I think. All the info about my truck below in my signature.

SYNC with MyFord Touch

Includes all the features as the basic system (except for SYNC AppLink), plus the following:
6.5- 8-inch color touchscreen
Media hub with two USB ports, SD card reader, and input jacks
Five-way controls on the steering wheel
