Default Phone/bluetooth problems

Looking to see if anybody has any advice on my problem. When trying to
use the phone commands in my truck when hooked to bluetooth I usually
have to try 2,3, or 4 times before the call will go through.

I get a (retry) (close) on the screen. Even if I go to the recent call list and
push the name I wish to call it does the same thing. Every blue moon it will
go through the first time.

The girl that takes care of this at the dealer had me do a master reset first
and later we did some other kind of reset where I pushed the power button/volume control and pushed the right arrow. Nothing changed.

I've got a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime phone and am starting to think
it may be the problem, although I haven't had a chance to call Samsung yet
to see if they have any advice.

Curious if anybody else has had a problem like this and if so what you did
to correct the problem. Thanks

Hey kur150,

I recommend checking to see if there's any SYNC software update available. You can find the software info here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...p-to-date.html

Keep me posted!

I've updated the software, but the latest My Ford Touch update was around December. It's not your phone, it's the truck. Sometimes I have to plug the phone into the USB just to get it to work. Aggravating as hell, so I just drive in silence. Btw, I have an iPhone, so if you were to change over to Apple, don't expect Ford to work with Car Play.

I just checked the link above for updates, there are none for my truck right now. I know what your saying about the aggravating part. My calls will always go through I just wish
it didn't take so many try's to do it.

If both of you are up to date with the software, then my next suggestion is to take the vehicles to the dealer for a more hands on approach. They'll be able to further troubleshoot beyond a master reset.
