Default For perimeter plus install

I bought FT4Z-19A361-A ford perimeter plus. I installed it without instructions of course. I used the bajamod mount and plugged everything in. But it doesnt work, im thinking the system is not recognizing it. Anyone know what to do sync what i bought to my truck and make it work. I have factory remote start unlock lock.

I was following that thread, from what I remember reading if you already had remote start, all you did was install it and cycle the ignition and it would work, no forscan mods needed. Sorry not much help.

When I installed it along with remote start I followed these instructions. If you already have remote start you should be able to jump to around page 14 for VSS setup. It was more then just cycling the engine off/on.

Update: so all i had to do was cycle the ignition on and off once. But i can get on the running boards and rock my whole truck back and forth and nothing; with it set on the most sensitive setting. If i hit the a pillar good and hard with my hand, it goes off. Worthless turd in my opinion.

that's how its suppose to work.. it says it in the instructions too that rocking the truck or stepping on the boards won't work.. hitting the a pillar .. steering wheel or folding the mirrors it will work

Yeah it senses vibrations so rocking it won't do anything. I agree but consider before putting it in, you can take a baseball bat to the truck and break windows without the "alarm" going off. To me it was worth it. Someone isn't going to get on your running boards and rock the truck to break in.

Hoping someone can help, I have been through many threads and no luck. I am having the same problem as Darknight with after installing the unit, it not working. When i first plugged the unit up, the doors locked-unlocked-locked as if the truck sensed the unit. After trying the instructions and letting the truck sit for a day still nothing. Anyone have an idea on what to try?
