We have around 2 inches of snow with slush on the bottom. Truck is sliding all over in 2wd. I put 300lbs of sand in the bed and it helped little. I threw Hankook Atms on It as soon as I got it and it handled amazing in the snow.
Not sure if it's a combo of slush and oem tires or what but I'll be getting new tires before next winter
Here in Toronto we have plenty of snow. wet slush and temperatures hovering just around freezing....
My 2015 with the GY All Terrain Kevlar are CRAP in the snow....Acceleration is ok in 4Auto/4wd... stopping however, the ABS works a lot... plan ahead before stopping
My 2018 with BFG K02's are Phenomenal in these conditions... ABS hardly comes on..... You honestly don't need dedicated snow tires on this truck.... Just get K02s and run
them all year around!
I threw 5, 60# bags of tubesand in it yesterday, there went my 1" of rake, but that's another story. Roads are all dry down here, all the weight did was smooth out the ride on Duhtroit [Wayne] County roads.
When I left home Friday, with no weight, and 5" +/- of fresh snow, I slipped and slid for 5 mile until I got to the mostly clear state route. No, I didn't use 4X4, figured if my little Ranger could do it, I was going to try with this thing. IMO, it's all the junk tires.
I’ve put 400 pounds in the back and it drives like a dream in the winter snow. Going to pt winters on it next year though to help with the stopping....

Need to put another 100 pounds in and see how it does. What tires do you have?
