Default Performance exhaust

I have 18 F150 with 2.7 eco boost and would like to put a performance exhaust on my truck and am wondering if anyone makes performance exhaust that isn稚 super loud. I知 ok with a little rumble but I知 not a big fan of the sound of a v6 with loud exhaust I would like the cat back system that exits in front of the back wheel. I知 also interested in single exhaust .

An exhaust system won't net you any performance unless you have substantial supporting mods already done. And, it's a 2.7 liter V6... it's never going to have a "rumble".

I'm looking at the MBRP side exit. I have the 3.5 eco. I'm also concerned about the sound. I only want the look and would be satisfied if it sounded just like stock. My plan is to buy the performance model and weld on a Vibrant Super Quite resonator.

There's no 'performance' exhaust for these trucks (unless you do A TON more mods than that, as stated). Just noisier exhausts . And EBs sound like crap, so I'd leave that money for something more useful, but to each his own .

I was also interested in doing something with my exhaust but after listening to many different setups I was not convinced enough to drop the coin and potentially have my truck not sound very good.

I went the cheap route and I eliminated my resonator and got a little more tone in the cab, not sure it made much difference out of the cab. I bought a cheap aluminized 2-1/2" pipe. Planning to get a stainless 3" pipe welded in next spring, the thought being that a bigger pipe should be another little bit louder.

As stated previously there will be no added performance with just a catback system. Otherwise do what makes you happy.

A kid that used to work for me has a performance exhaust system on his 2015 EB alongside a bunch of performance enhancing modifications. His truck is fast but sounds terrible, definitely no rumble more like a 4-cylinder with a fart can muffler.

No matter how they try there is no sound on any V6 EB engine that will sound like a V8. Ford has remedied that with their 'Sport' mode select shift with a V8 sound thru your speakers. That's as close are you will get.

I can only (mostly) echo what most have said. Not gonna get the V8 rumble...

I have the 3.5 eco that I installed a Magnaflow side exit in front of rear tires exhaust. I was more interested in the look than the sound. It is one piece that also eliminates the resonator. Dual tips. Looking at the website now it looks like you can have it with or without res delete. I'm happy with it. Doesn't sound like a V8 but nothing rice either.

Just do a resonator delete and see how that sounds for you? Little more aggressive on start-up (cold start especially).

I had a Magnaflow muffler for about a week and went back to OEM.

For looks, you can get a 4 inch tip (chrome or black) and have a muffler shop "clock" it so that it points back at an angle and not just straight out like the OEM tip.

Good luck!

Ford, it's already on your truck.
