Default Penzoil Ultra Platinum Oil

I called around to over 15 auto part stores in Salt Lake and no one carries it. Even tried the Napa warehouse with no luck.

I know it's availabale online but was looking to pick it up yesterday or today so I could do the oil change today.

With all the great reviews I'm reading its strange that no one sells it. Is there a reason they took it off their shelves or didn't start selling it to begin with?

Where are are you guys finding it locally?

If you are interested, Mobil 1 Annual Protection has a $10 e-giftcard at Walmart on a purchase of a 5 qt jug(about $50).

I have yet to see the Ultra in 5qts. All I see in my area is the Platinum. But I'm fine with that. Used it for years in numerous vehicles without problems.

Apparently the Pep Boy's in Riverdale has Ultra Platinum. I'm going by later today to buy some, I'll update this tread once I know either way.

The 5 quart bottles are currently unavailable. You can but a Six Pack of quarts or singles.

Because of the process creating this oil it is not "produced" as regularly as most oils are. It is made from Natural Gas.

I have found it to be hit or miss at WallyWorld. Even Amazon runs out on occasion.

Damn good oil and the only oil I've used after draining the Factory oil at 3K. If I had the 5.0 I'd most likely settle (if I couldn't find the Ultra) for the Platinum.

I use this in my 5.0 and purchased from Amazon. Wasnt worth running around town trying to find it, ordered early in the week and had it by the weekend. Good stuff for sure!

Is there a big difference between the Platinum and the Ultra?

Heres what I found on their website.

As you can see it's the only one rated for "extreme performance"

Turbo's, towing, heat. Big reason why I use it.

Thanks for the replies.

Let me know know on the Riverdale Pep Boys.

Guess im just going to have to order online and wait it out. Just shocked it's unobtainable in brick and mortar locations - especially in one of the largest cities in the US.
