Default Paint chips?

Done a normal drive on highway blacktop to the mountains and back, washed and waxed the truck and there are 4 chips to the metal on my hood. What the hell?? The road was paved the whole way.

Anyone else have issues with paint chipping too easily?

Not too easy, but a few lucky strikes to the hood and bumper. I got a kit for 40 bucks and perfectly matched all the chips and have plenty left over for future issues. You might be fine with normal paint pen or whatever from the auto part store but I had a scratch I wanted to deal with too. I've had some other strikes I KNEW would be a dent or a chip and were neither, so it's all luck of the draw IMO

Having been through a pretty rough winter with cinders all over the roads, my truck is chipped on the hood, front, and bumper. Rust is coming from the bumper. Not very excited about this.

Hood deflector seems to be doing its job for me, but the 20" sport wheels are another story. They all have chips in them, and I'm not at all happy with the durability of the finish on the wheels.

Bumper, hood, etc. Lots of chips on my 2015 as well as my buddy's 2015. Way more than my 2013 at the same age...

Hmmm - so not an aluminum thing it seems. This is my 6th ford truck and I just cannot get over how easily the paint is chipping on this one... I do realize it could also by my truck having gone through the line a bit differently than the rest.

Man i was just thinking this over the weekend while washing the truck. My truck has 3200 miles and i found probably 5 or 6 little nicks down to metal.

I would echo what the others have said. The paint on mine chips way too easy, the hood and A-pillars for sure.

I am more surprised at the rock chips on the passenger doors and even rock chips on the tailgate. I do not drive with the tailgate down, how does that happen?

This 2016 chips way easier than any of my Superdutys (99,05 or 06) and it doesn't help having the Blue Jean color either.
