Default Paint chipping too easy

I have a 2017 f150. About 4000 miles on it and numerous chips all over. I only drive paved roads with virtually no traffic as they are country roads. I know 5 other people who bought f 150 right around the same time, all saying the same thing. They can't believe all the chips...I think Ford needs to do something about this. My truck is silver and I got it so chips and scratches wouldn't show... except apparently its black underneath the silver.

I have about 4000 miles on my 2017 and haven't found a single paint chip so far. Mostly drive country paved roads and they are covered with sand/salt, etc. I'm now happy my Lariat has the chrome package which I think helps protect the front from paint chips. I do have mud guards installed front and rear which should help protect the doors and side of the bed from chips.

Sounds like Ford has paint application issues when it chips that easy..............

Coming up on my lease end, thinking of keeping my 15 but reading issues makes me think twice. Im also thinking keep it because I just hit 12k on it.

My 13 was beat to death by paint chips after 110,000kms
My 17 has 4 chips (2 on front bumper, one on door from a rock bouncing, one chip on rear fender flare from another rock)

I don't think it's fords paint. I'm pretty sure it's just where you live and the crap on the roads

I don't think its just where you live. I've had about 10 vehicles, none of which have chipped like this. And I think the fact that others are noticing the same issue may mean there could be a paint issue

20 000km on my blue jean F150, and it's not looking too good. I went nuts with the 3M coating in all the important areas, but I'm getting chips all down the side. Stock tires and rims. Heavy duty mudflaps. The paint quality is very disappointing. Definitely can't keep this unit too long or it'll be looking pretty rough. My last 2 vehicles were driven on much worse roads and had far less chips at 300 000 plus km.
