I have a weird code popping up in my truck. Well, ok, the code isn't weird. (P096). But it only throws the code when using the remote start after the truck has sat all day or all night. And it only seems to happen if it's below 0C-ish. Doesn't happen any other time. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried searching P096 but didn't get a hit on this problem. 2019 F150 2.7 XLT
Thanks in advance

Your DTC is not complete. There needs to be 4 numbers after the "P". Assuming the DTC is actually P0096, from the PCED Manual:
P0096 – Intake Air Temperature Sensor-2 Circuit Range/Performance Bank-1
Description:
This DTC sets when the IAT2 sensor PID does not correlate with the CACT sensor or the IAT sensor PIDs at ignition ON. It also sets if the IAT2 sensor PID exceeds the maximum calibrated temperature threshold while driving.
Possible Causes:
Slow responding IAT2 sensor
Damaged IAT2 sensor
Diagnostic Aids:
The IAT2 sensor is located on top of the intake manifold. Aftermarket heaters that are attached to the engine, transmission or battery may cause DTC P0096 to set in cold weather climates after a 6 h soak period.
This DTC may be accompanied by other DTCs. Check for other DTCs and diagnose those first.

You're right Merc. I forgot the other 0. Thanks for that. Nothing aftermarket on the truck, especially heaters, lol. I will throw a new one on and see if that fixes it.
I've got the same issue that just started happening.
I can't say whether or not it's only when using the remote start, as that's pretty much the only way I ever start the truck.
I did remove the IAT2 sensor and 2 other intake sensors and cleaned them up in the summer, but I have not had any issue or CEL until about 2 weeks ago.
I'll try starting it with the key and avoid the remote start a few time's and see if it still pops up.
I can't figure out why I can start my truck with the key consistently without any issue or CEL, but I can't remote start it more than 3 time's in a row without the P0096 CEL popping up.
