You should be covered under 5yr 60k, mine just went at 48k. Replaced VCT solenoid and cam phasers on 1 side. The cam phasers issue they supposedly fixed is not fixed at all. This issue goes back almost 20 yrs and Ford has still not fixed the issue, it’s starting to show up more and more on late model F150s. Just curious when it threw the code was your oil life around 20%, when the oil gets dirty enough is usually when it throws the code. DONT CHANGE THE OIL OR THE ISSUE MAY GO AWAY, LET THEM FIX IT, THEY WILL CHANGE IT, when they do the phasers

Well, I figured they would call it a sensor and “non-power train” so I ordered the $21.99 sensor. But I will see what they say.
Thanks guys.

They covered my sensor, I think you have to take the front cover off to change the sensors, don’t quote me though

Yeah, read through those the other day. VERY disturbing. I despise the stealerships and almost want to do it myself. Is it as simple as taking the drivers side valve cover off and just replacing the sensors?

Scheduled for the 20th. No loaner as I didn’t buy from them...aka denied loaner. We’ll see on the profit. Lol. Stealerships. Do not trust any of them. Have not had good luck.

Frankly, I’d be shocked if “just replacing the sensors” did the trick. Sometimes, those sensors actually do their job and indeed detect that the chain has stretched enough to throw off timing just a smidge.

Once again, 5w-20 oil + fuel dilution strikes!
