Default Order dates for 2017s

Does anyone know when we can start to order 2017s ? My current 2013 is off lease at the beginning of August.... and I really don't want to have to get a 2016 if the 2017s are right around the corner. If they will be a ways off, I'm going to look at ending my lease early and getting into a 2016 ASAP.....

Thanks up front for any useful info on this subject !!

That is my point.... I don't need to get a truck when this one goes back. Actually, at the time it goes back, it usually is just sitting as we are so busy at work and I drive one of the work trucks all the time. Plus the 2 cars we have. So I don't "need" to have a truck then. But nobody can tell me when the 2017s can be ordered.... except for it "won't be at that time" meaning August.

Also, we know the Raptor is getting the new 3.5 EB and 10 spd trans..... but haven't heard that the "regular" trucks are getting either. Only rumors of the 1/2 ton diesel....
So if you know something, please share. because I went down the road of 1st year issues with my 2011 and not sure I'd do it a second time. The 2011 spent a lot of time at the dealership............. my 2013 has only needed oil changes.

I read that all f150s will get the second generation 3.5 Ecoboost. It said that the second gen will have direct injection and port injection. Only say that the raptor will get the ten speed. 2nd gen is supposed to be a redesigned engine. https://twitter.com/mrlevine/status/703084856641597440

Its March... you have at least 7-8 months before they will begin production. IIRC the 2016 models began production in October of 2015

Correct .... but I also have 5 months until my lease ends. Hence the reason for asking. If the 17s are a few weeks away from when I turn mine in, why would I want to get a 2016 that will be last season's model after owning it a month of 2.... I'll just wait and order a 2017. I can be without my truck for about 4 months after turning my 13 in. If there weren't any major changes, I would just trade out of my lease now and get a 16 now.

Talked to my dealer here in Ontario ,Canada, and he is saying mid October, but I'm sure he's just speculating.

Middle of August like always. In the US. But I can't imagine Canada being different. Good luck and I'm waiting on the 17 as well.
