Default Order Changes

I was trying to make a change to my 2015 truck order. I wanted to add the technology package. But, was told the original order has been taken and that they may not except any changes (Ford) But that the dealer would try and enter the change. Has anyone on here been able to make changes to their original order?

I don't understand why they couldn't make a change since no trucks have been built. I wouldn't want a truck without the tech package.

Ive made changes 4 times to my order that was submitted day one. Every change I have made I have gotten a confirmation form and a DORA from my dealer.

If your dealer doesn't bend over backwards to make the changes you want get a new one. We are not talking about adding pickles to your Big Mac after they already made it.

This is a special order, and in the case of some rigs a 60K+ truck. I dont care if I change it 50 times, the dealer better do it. As long as it doesnt have a scheduled build date you can change whatever you want.

Making a few changes to mine today. Adding the parking assist and wheel well liners. I already have the tech package and adaptive cruise control and noticed a $500 discount if park assist is added as well. I don't really have a need/want for it but the cost nets out to $0 with the package discount. No brainer to add it.

Just keep in mind the wheel well liners were stated as late availability. I wanted them too, but figured I'd order them from Ford parts and put them on myself once they become available.

If for some reason, they come off late availability before my truck is scheduled, I guess I can always add them to the order.

Just hate to see you waiting on your truck being built because of the liners.

That's what I did with my Platinum. It was getting the option for free plus another $60 or so back.

This was my original reason for holding off on them however with the news of customer retail orders not being delivered until February 2015 I don't forsee this being an issue. I have a feeling it will only impact the initial run of dealer stock orders.

I was told that they would submit the change but would not know if it was excepted until Friday when a report is generated for the dealer orders.

I also wanted wheel well liners but when placing the order it would not allow us to proceed with that option checked. I have them on my 2013 and will be ordering them as soon as they become available for my 2015.
