Default Oil Drain Plug

Are the oil drain plugs for the 2.7l EB and the 3.5l EB interchangeable?

I don't think so. They might be - but if I recall they sit on different parts of the oil pan - and the pan's themselves are different.

SO I don't know that I'd trust it

Oh well. If they aren't, I have just wasted $6. It won't be the first $6 I have ever wasted.

What year and engine do you have? The part number for the 2017 3.5L EB is KX6Z-6730-B.

EDIT: just saw your sig The part number I listed is the one you need, I'm fairly certain the 2.7L plug will not fit.

The plastic drain plug for my 2.7Eco is $2.12 at my dealer...MC filter is $5.95.
I keep a spare drain plug in my vehicle.

Some local Iffy Lube & other vendors are upselling new 2.7 drain plugs for $9.00 with each oil change claiming that the plugs are leaking...big BS ripoff!

Why does one need extras?
