I just got a 2018 F-150 XLT Leadfoot and want to get the SE grille. After reading this thread it looks like both the XLT and the Lariat SE grille will work, with the only difference being one is silver mesh and the other black mesh. Is that correct? What color do you guys prefer on a leadfoot?

Keep scouring ebay. I scored an STX grille in Magnetic for 325 shipped. But yeah, those Lariat Sports were like 2 bills a few months ago. I don't see them at all now.
Exactly.. the sport grills are all MIA.. There were even two members of the forum that had theirs for sale for at least 3 weeks and I didn't grab one.. Kicking myself big-time now.
this one is listed for sale in the Houston Craigslist under 2018 f150. its listed for $250. Not mine nor do i know the person. Just saw it while i had this thread open.
I'm actually trying to find the 2 Bar Sport grill.
To me the sport grill, if that is the one on the red truck above, is more formal looking and the one that has the nostrils is more aggressive looking. I like them both but I do like the nostrils. The other open looking grill looks more utility.
My last resort is painting the grill black above and below the dual bars similar to the Platinum's.
I also hate the light gray perimeter border. Looks out of place in person.
As far as I know there are no aftermarket 2018 grills available yet. Personally I like the 2018 grills, especially the ones used on the STX and SE variants.
It was a update that was due to keep the F150 fresh. I have a SE grille ordered for my 2018 RCSB and I've Photoshoped what it will look like when both the truck and grille are delivered.

For information regarding what emblem works on what grille, mdphotographer has the details in this thread of what emblem works with each grille. They are not all interchangeable.

I like that a lot. I planned on getting the STX grill for my XL when it arrives and paint matching the surround.
