Hdsmitty, did you have luck with the link to the rail car information. When I call the number it just told me that my car was sitting in Ohio since October. So I didn't have any luck with it.

I haven't been able to get the railcar number from my dealer. I emailed my dealer asking for it just before making my post but the dealer has remained silent.

So, is that amount of lag typical? (Nearly a month from order until it shows up in COTUS) or was it perhaps dragged out by the holidays? I'm waiting for my order to show up on COTUS... my dealer's system shows the VIN and it's present in ETIS with that "placeholder" build date of 30.11.0002. Maybe it doesn't make COTUS until that build date gets "real"? (I've checked the other COTUS link beginning wwwqa but no joy there either, and that server's performance is TERRIBLE.)

Well, the factories were closed for two weeks for the holidays. They didn't start back up until January 9. So, you can deduct two weeks from the total timeframe in my case. I think that otherwise the timeframe is about right. And the overall timeframe has been (thus far) pretty speedy.

I agree that COTUS's performance is terrible. And it still doesn't really have the completely accurate information for my truck.

I got the window sticker from the "Ford Direct" site. COTUS does not load it (yet).

You can put your VIN at the end of this to see if it's available. Or use one of the third party sites.

The factory was open the week of January 2nd because my truck was built what week. The default build date in ETIS didn't change to the build date on my truck until about 3 days after it was built. Then all the info showed up as well.

I agree it's a pain to get http://wwwqa.cotusa.ford.com to work but it's the only place I have been able to watch the progress of my truck. When I go to other sites, they say that they cannot find my vin number and I should call my dealer. So I put up with the slowness of the site and faithfully check everyday on the progress of my truck. According to the site, it will arrive next week.

Hey, I got a hit at http://wwwqa.cotusa.ford.com/ finally! It didn't return anything when I entered my VIN (given to me by the dealer when I asked them why COTUS didn't work yet) but it DID find it with order#/dealer#/last name. And it shows the same VIN that didn't return anything, which is interesting. "In order processing" with a delivery date of 22 Feb (taking THAT with a grain of salt for now) and the details/options look right. Woohoo!

--ON EDIT: It must've just been timing between the 2 requests. Now I can pull up the order from the wwwqa URL using just the VIN.

(still doesn't show on the regular COTUS url)

May not be the right place but does ~21% off MSRP on a 2017 2.7 Supercab Sport 4x4 302a with NAV seem like a decent deal?
