Can anyone tell me what this car is? The picture was taken in the the range of 1946. I've looked through pictures of 40's cars but didn't see a grill like this. Is there a resource I should go to? Thanks guys, I appreciate any help.

Dodge. Probably 33.

What gives it away is that bit on the bottom of the grille. That’s where Dodge would put an ornamental crank hole cover. Typically the cars were straight sixes so there was often an embossed stylistic 6 on the cover.

You're barking up the wrong tree looking at 40's cars. Doesn't resemble a 40's car. These guys are probably right about the '33.

I think your right. That crank hole cover does resemble the 33 dodge much more.

I would agree with it being a 33 Dodge. Crank hole cover, lack of vertical chrome strip in the center of the grille, and the fuller profile of the front fenders give it away.
