Default Nice gesture by Ford

If financed my truck through Ford credit. They emailed me today to let me know that since I live in SC in a area affected by the flooding, they would allow me to defer payments for a month or two if needed. I wasn't directly affected and don't need to defer, but I thought it was a nice gesture.

Several other vehicle manufacturer's finance affiliates do the same for FEMA-declared flood or other disaster areas...it was common for areas affected by Katrina. Payment deferrals can be requested for most personal/family emergencies.

This is often prompted by law.... I'm in the industry is how I know... But it could be voluntary.
