Hey y'all, I just bought my first F150 and I'm super excited about it! I have a lot to learn about it but being that it's a 2016 with 144k miles, it came with a bunch of learning opportunities. It's a 2016 3.5L ecoboost Lariat supercrew. It's been throwing a p144c (evap) code and p0430 (cat) code since the day I bought it. I'll post pictures of my code reader's screen. I replaced the purge canister valve. I then cleared it and the light stayed off for about 150 miles. It's back on so I'm back to square one. After getting to know my truck for hours, I've come up with a few questions.
1. Is one of my hoses coming from my purge canister valve supposed to go into my turbo inlet tube? It doesn't look factory and I wonder if it could be throwing the code. I can't seem to find where this hose usually goes to on any schematic anywhere. (The purge canister valve itself is actually called a fuel vapor support bracket on Ford. It's hard to find what connects to it.)
2. I definitely have a little oil leaking somewhere. I talked to the shop that the dealer sent my truck to in order to fix the p144c and they apparently changed the valve cover gaskets, cleared the code, and sent it back. After waiting 2 weeks for that and hearing them say they weren't even aware of a p144c code, I decided to tackle it myself. I have a very oily and messy undercarriage, especially around the bell housing area. But I'm wondering if that's just old oil from before the valve cover gasket replacement. It's pretty dry to the touch. I do think the vacuum pump is leaking a bit though. Could a leaky vacuum pump have any effect on the evap system and cause a code?
3. I'm losing coolant fairly quickly. It's gone from max to min in a span of 2 months. I checked last night and found this. I believe it’s the driver side turbo. Think it’s something I can fix? Could it be playing a part in the code? There’s green UV dye showing the location. I’ll attach the picture.
I've spent so many nights researching things and trying to investigate everything in the truck. All the hoses and connections in the evap system look good but I'm considering getting a smoke tester. I blew about 40psi of air through a tube on the charcoal canister and it came out the other tube so it doesn't seem to be clogged or closed. I'm just hoping you experts can help. Anything will be much appreciated. Thank you all so much in advance. Yo hablo español tambien.

Thank you so much for your input! I can't seem to find where that hose is actually supposed to go. It's been driving me crazy. Anyone know where that hose is supposed to lead so maybe I can reroute it back home?

I think it's supposed to go to that tube but I'm guessing someone broke off the moulded in connector and replaced it with that brass. It's hard for me to tell exactly which tube that is?
Exactly where do both ends of the big tube connect?
Fully read the Thread >>144c<< to get your answer.
View the 144c definition and the photo of the system connection layout.
The 430 code for the CAT bank 2 is a totally different matter.
Good luck.

I knew it looked off, this is likely part of your problem. Someone broke the fitting, plugged it with a bolt and added the brass fitting. The one on the brass fitting should be connected as shown below.
I'm sure they did it because that tube isn't cheap, I can do a little better than the price the site shows if you PM me. You can clearly see where the two small hoses connect to this tube in the third photo on our site.
