Default Need Advice

I have someone interested in my 2019 King Ranch I have for sale. He's requesting me to get an AotoBioData report for him. I've never heard of this before and I don't feel comfortable sharing a report over the net showing my VIN since I have a clean title. Can anyone shed some light on this rteport? Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure there's much of a security concern sharing your VIN if the potential buyer is local and checks out. If you want to sell the truck yourself you'll have to share it because everyone is going to ask. Of course, as the seller you can pick which report you want to provide, if any. If you're uncomfortable with that, sell it to a dealer. Used truck pricing continues to be a seller's market; I'm a little surprised how well my 2019 KR (purchased in Dec 2019, just before Covid hit) has held its value compared to what I paid for it.

Per Google, that website is a scam. Tell them to pound sand. They can come, snap a pic of vin, and do as they please. I laugh, my truck has never been back to the Dealer or in a shop (other than new tires) since the day I bought it brand new. I have records that exceed any online system. Anyone buying private sale agrees and respects that way over Dealer serviced maintenance stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. I have the carfax report from when I bought it 18 months ago and all my Ford receips from when I bought it. Truck has a spotless complete record. I also have the original window sticker from the person I bought it from. I'm the second owner and only reason is to downsize to a late model Ranger. At 77 I'm done hauling stuff. Thanks again everyone, you just confirmed how I felt. Have a great weekend!

Agreed.
The buyng/selling of used vehicles is a well vetted process with a few very well known channels.
Anything new and exciting coming from someone you don't know...there are easier, legitimate sources of information.
Make it easy on yourself and stay with what you're comfortable with.

YOU are the Seller...YOU dictate the terms! Tell this...'buyer' (most likely an African prince, lol!) that you will provide a CARFAX report and he is more than willing to come scan the OBDII port with HIS equipment if it's that important to him.

This is a more recent scam. I sold a car last year and had a potential buyer from Marketplace ask for some other type of unknown vehicle history report. I had a Carfax already, so it sounded shady. Sure enough, a quick Google search highlighted it as a scam.
