I have been driving my new Magnetic Metallic Lariat with a 6.5' box for about 3 weeks now, and I seem to be getting a lot more turned heads everywhere I go. When in a parking lot, when turning a corner, watching from a window as others walk past it, etc. This was not something I ever noticed in my 2015, and trust me I would look for it. I notice this happening more in my truck, than what I do in my lifted Jeeps with knobby tires and when riding in others supercars. Even happens so much that my own boss is upset that his new King Ranch ins't noticed as much. Is it really that my truck looks that great, or more so that it is more rare to see my style of truck on the road, even though I live in a truck dominated state? Its only leveled 2.25" in the front on stock wheels and tires ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anybody else ever get that feeling that their truck must really be a neck breaker? If so post it up!
I was part of another manufacturers forum for a number of years. When the redesigned model was released, these threads popped up every couple weeks.
I'm glad I don't own a Jeep because I don't drive down the road waving at people in other vehicles like my own.
I rarely waved to other motorcycle riders when I had a bike either.
We need to draw the line someplace -am I supposed to wave at everybody in a silver vehicle, or only Fords, or only F150's?

I get it, I've seen a few guys stare at my truck and some even admitted to being Chevy guys. Other F-150 drivers often turn their heads at my truck. I had a Ram driver follow me out of a shopping complex only to stare at my truck at the next intersection, might have been the sound of my Coyote with Flowmaster muffler combined with the look of the dual pipes coming out under the rear bumper. When he caught up to me, I was the 3rd or 4th vehicle in the left turn lane, he had the whole through lane all to himself and stopped beside my truck anyway for a few seconds before proceeding to the stop line.
Personally, I try to fly under the radar. Any changes I make to the truck are subtle and you'd only notice them if you were already looking at the truck for a specific reason.
I've had people comment on the "clean" truck, or the usual compliment of nice truck, etc., but I've never noticed anyone breaking their neck to look at my truck. I look at the old classic cars and trucks I see on the road.
I think my F150 looks good because I see other trucks maneuvering to get beside me or in front of me to show me their trucks.
It happens all the time on the freeways in So Cal. Sometimes they are not very subtle.
I used to wave to other riders when I rode a bike, I used to wave to other Tacos when I drove a Tacoma, but there are just too many F150's on the road to wave at.
If the opportunity is there I might try to park near another one in a parking lot, especially if it is not stock, like mine.
Two lifted F150's look very good backed in sitting next to each other at Home Depot.
I sure love my truck!
I've had more than a handful compliment me on my truck in the past two weeks, but I'm sure once it is seen around town more it will start to "blend in" with the locals.
A couple that stand out is one guy was riding past me last Sunday, as he got to my window he started waving the Party On sign and turned completely around in his seat until they drove out of sight. (He was a passenger BTW)
I've also had several people where that come in to do business where I work stop me just to admire the truck......Honestly, outside of this forum Im not use to all of this attention towards anything I own.
