I feel I get a decent amount of attention(not 'neck breakers' by any means) in my 2 current rigs, mostly due to the condition I keep them in (hardly any non truck person believes the old truck is nearly 20 years old), most feel they're tastefully built.(which I much appreciate) Also the fact that they are both short wheel base 4x4s, which are pretty rare in the northeast, certainly helps. My trucks are the only 'flashy' thing I have/do, otherwise I just blend in with the crowd. Hope my incoming 2020 gets the same positive attention of these two old girls.

Having driven a lot of hot rods over the years, I guess I don't think much about trucks. If one looks very clean & has some unique mods, it will usually catch my eye. I like my current truck being clean, understated, and quiet, but carry a fairly persuasive stick.
My '66 427 Cobra tribute car was most certainly my best neck-breaker. It was a magnet to all types, from the roughest Harley biker, to the little frail grandma, and everything in between.
Back when I was young and driving Corvettes, I got lots of looks and thought I was somebody. My therapist said I suffered from insecurity, and needed the validation of others to support my sense of self-worth. Ouch! Smack in the face.
Now that I'm older and a little more mature, I don't care what people think about my truck, my car, my home, my net worth, or just me in general.
But I do turn and look at other people's vehicles...the ugly ones mostly.

I don't remember what I was driving probably a Ford minivan. Driving Interstate 10 East of New Orleans a small sports car of some kind pulled beside me and blew his horn and gave me a thumbs up. I was really stumped till he pulled ahead of me and I saw his license plate which was like mine. Tennessee Bluebird License Plate
I do get some looks with my 2019, but I attribute that to the Raptor wheels more than the truck. The worst I've had was back in the 90s. The wife had to have the new Mercedes SLK when it first came out, and of course, she had to have it yellow. That car attracted so much attention, especially when the convertible hardtop would raise and lower. We would literally get 8-10 people in a parking lot stand around and watch it do its thing. It was highly annoying. I much prefer to be under the radar than smack in the middle of it.
