Default Mud Flaps Installed

I became eligible for Medicare a few months ago, so what better way to get started then to strain myself crawling around underneath my truck to install some Ford Mud Flaps?

Well, I didn't hurt myself and the install was actually pretty easy. The fronts clip on, and the rears have both clips and screws. The rears also have a bracket to install as well. The fronts took about 5 mins each. The left rear (first one I did) took a little while longer (probably around 15 minutes) as I'm not bright enough to read the instructions closely enough to see that one of the clips is different than the other two. It has a specific location which, of course, I didn't realize until the other two were already in place!! Took it back apart, then used the right parts in the right place!

Right one took a lot less time!! (About 5 minutes)

Definitely a DIY kind of operation.

Cheers!!

Ken

Looks great! I'm assuming they came from Ford? I was wondering what they would look like, considering a set myself. I had an '05 Silverado that seen its share of gravel roads and after 140,000 km there was not a spec of paint left on the rocker sills.

Which clip is different in the rear? Mine came with 2 sets of front instructions, so I had to install based on pictures here. Would be very interested to know which clips are different as mine all looked the same and went on fine.

I struggled removing the two puch pins that hold the wheel moldings in the front tires under the .everything else was easy everything went in without a problem.....should i worry about the steel bracket on aluminum in the 2 rears rubbing against each other?i inserted the little plastic it came with will that be enough?

On the rear, one of the three clips has a little large hole for the larger screw. Has some more threads as well. That one goes on the plastic side of the brace.

Probably wouldn't make that much difference to use it in one of the other spots but whoever designed it thought it would so I went with their suggestion!!

Oh! You scared me, haha. I thought you were talking about the clips for the flaps onto the body, not the ones the screws go into. I'm good, I got those clips in the right order.

If Ford well liners are already installed do they have to be removed to install the Ford mud flaps?
