Most Important Features to You When Purchasing
This is my 4th new F-150 (since '92)
Finally decided we wanted a camper (first ever).
So, wanted a few creature comforts since we'll likely be spending more time on the road, and need it focused on Tow/Haul, so here's my new list of must-haves:
Utility...
4x4 - don't want to be stuck at home during a snowstorm
3.5EB - for towing capability
max tow - see above
tow mirrors - see above
tailgate step - not getting any younger
Comfort...
Remote start - really nice hopping into a warm vehicle in the winter
Moonroof - to enjoy the great outdoors
B&O - is just a tad nicer to have great music on a trip
Nav - factory installed (don't like to rely on phone)
Console - just handier for phone and stuff
Could live without...
Leather - Cloth is perfectly fine and lasts forever without any fuss

Must have
High Safety rating (We have a five year old so this is a requirement)
Crew Cab(See five year old above lol)
4X4 (I rarely use it, but like my guns, it's best to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it)
Backup camera
Bluetooth
Large fuel tank
Side mirror defroster (I hated having to wipe them down in the winter time with my previous car)
Carplay/Android Auto
Remote Start
Everything else is a bonus in my eyes.
Edit: After having with the tailgate step and keypad, I can't imagine not having those features. I remember seeing the Fords on the road and thought the keypad looked silly, now I absolutely love it lol.

Wish I woulda got the BLIS option just for the sick LED tail lights. It's $400 more for XLTs (I believe standard on the Lariats). If you try to upgrade your tail lights after the fact, it'll run you closer to $1000 with a non working BLIS.
