Default Missing something?

Was looking to take off the front license plate holder and then I realized that I might be missing something....Is there supposed to be something behind this thing, or is the large gaping hole normal?

Looks like you have a sport and yes there should be something behind that.

It is a sport. What's supposed to be there? Here is a different angle.

Not a great pic, but you can see that there is a grill behind there and I believe it's solid.. as in no way for air to get through it.

Do you have MaxTow? Maybe there is an extra cooler down there and they leave it open for that?

Mine is open like that also. Air flow for the cooler is my guess also.

There are two different trim panels that fit that opening in the bumper. One has bars and the other is open. Which one you get depends on trim level and engine.

So for the OP, yes it's normal and nothing is missing.
