Default Mirror Covers

I have a 16 XLT Sport which came standard with factory black mirrors. Has anyone ordered or added colour matched mirror covers which appear to come standard on the Lariat sport models?

You can get them either on Amazon or eBay, I can't remember which I saw them on.
Or you can buy some paint, prep the surface and paint them.

It's eBay. There was a thread on it a month or two back. Thread should be easy to find. Link to the eBay seller on it as well.

I just did last week. Ordered them from the guy off eBay. I got the link in the other thread talked about in the previous post. They took a couple weeks to get, but they look AWESOME. Good quality. They are not covers but a full replacement. Took about 15 minutes to swap them out. I was thinking of selling my old ones to someone who wanted to try to paint them and save some cash.

I took my mirrors and tail gate handle bezel apart and my body shop smooth plastic out with filler and a flex agent and painted those along with the plastic trim pieces on the bottom , front edges of the bed mixed with a little pearl ")

For the price of buying the oem skull caps on Ebay you can have everything painted . Don't want to buy the covers you get aftermarket available in Chrome or black. ... Quality is poor and attached with double sided tape vs snapped in like factory.

Good body shop can work magic. Was going to try Lariat handle but was going to get expensive real quick with internal parts and harnesses needed. Handle blends in nicely and clean on tailgate

Were they hard to take off? I'm looking at replacing mine with the stock chrome ones...
