Marble-size Hayul
My new XLT got peppered with marble-size hail last night, but I can't find any damage. Maybe Ford's "Military Grade" aluminum really is stronger than the steel they previously used.
Of course you can be like me and actually park your truck in a garage so you don't have to worry about it. If your garage has too much **** in it to park your vehicle in there then you need to stop hoarding and throw **** away. I've never understood why people choose to protect less than $5,000 worth of junk they don't use or really want over a $40,000+ truck, which is likely the second most valuable thing they own next to their homes.
when I lived in an apartment, I made sure I had covered parking. My last apartment had a parking garage which made things pretty easy.
Don't kid yourself, while these trucks are more dent resistant than most vehicles out today, they can still be destroyed by hail. There is a black 2016 F150 at my local dealer's body shop that doesn't have a straight piece of metal on it. The entire truck will have to be re-skinned. It got golf ball texturing to it everywhere. Of course in Texas, marble sized hail isn't that big of a deal. We got softball sized hail the day that thing got trashed.

Ya really unbelievable when you drive by a house w/the garage door open and just completely full of junk and 2/3 nice vehicles parked on the driveway baking in the sun and in the winter you see them out scraping snow/ice off the cars. Just do not get that
As for my garage being occupied no, it has not.
I don't get it either.

My HOA doesn't allow for a boat or ATV outside either. I don't have those things and won't buy them until I do have a place to put them. A boat actually is doable, but I'm near a marina. I understand it would be more expensive to keep it there, but as far as I am concerned that's my only viable option if I really want a boat. Fortunately, it's not something I've got a burning desire to have.
While I agree that there are a lot of people that keep junk in their garage there are some people that keep things like atv and boat but also some people have a gym in the place where they would park their truck.
I have been fortunate enough to never have owned a house in an HOA neighborhood. Nor will I ever, for the cost I can have ten acres or more of land and have no reason for those ****'s to dictate what I do. I understand the idea of the HOA, some are way overboard. Most garages wont fit one or vehicles in them anyhow. My first house had a garage only big enough to park a Prius or Smart car in it lol. I saw an invention from some guy in DFW, I'll see if I can post it
