Default BDS 2.5" leveling kit

What is the pre-load spacer for on the BDS 2.5" Leveling Kit? Seems like more work for this kit, but I'm curious what the purpose of this is. Any thoughts?

Brand new to the site...and I'll say that 'Best mod under $50' thread is going to cost me a TON!!!

I have a 2016 Lariat 4x4 and I'm looking to go with Fuel Maverick's (22x9.5 +20 & 35x12.5x22). I've seen tons of guys add a 2.5" leveling kit to the front of their truck to make this set up work (or something similar). I'm curious to see if anyone has brought the back down instead of pushing the front up to get that leveled look? I'm hoping someone has some tribal knowledge to help.

I’m almost positive you can’t fit 35s without going up in the front. If you wanna level via dropping the rear you’re looking at 33s.

I found this online after I posted. The guy said that he had to do a little bit of trimming up front but that's it...he's running 305/45x22 with a +38 offset.

Not too sure yet, I have only driven it a few miles thus far. However I have noticed some banging going on the drivers side....Not sure what it is yet, maybe UCA hitting the coilover??

Will do, I have heard great things about them as well. May need to bet getting some new UCA soon if that is the issue though. But I figure it that was the issue I would hear it on both sides.
