Is that a real Shelby package? Didn't know they made a Shelby GT. Looks super nice, what a waste to let it sit in the garage all that time!!

I remember them.....It was a Shelby package on a GT mustang.
A lot more reasonable on price than a GT 500.......
I don't remember what was included over the stock GT ....
Maybe the OP can fill in the technical details

Sharp looking car !

Yes, it's a real Shelby Gt package, #521. It will get driven now. Not as a daily driver, but driven as much as possible.

The Shelby Gt package includes:
Specially tuned exhaust with X-pipe
Unique front fascia, rear fascia, side scoops, hood with Cobra inspired scoop, hood pins, billet grille, LeMans and side stripes
I/P CSX production applque, special scuff plates and floor mat badges and under hood engine plaque
Short throw shifter
1.5 inch lowered ride height vs standard
8.8 rear axle with limited slip and 3.55 ratio
Ford Racing 35.0 mm x 6.35 mm tubular front stabilizer bar
Ford Racing 22.3 mm solid rear stabilizer bar
Ford Racing twin tube front and rear dampers specially tuned for coupes and convertibles
Spring rate 60%stiffer than production
Ford Racing front and rear suspension and shock mount tower bar

Quite a list. I had to read the supplement guide to find everything that makes up the package. The package added about $10,000 to MSRP which was probably around $34,000 plus a market adjustment $10,000 making it around $54,000. Thanks to the original owner for not driving it and saving it so we could buy a "new" Special Mustang at half the price.
There's nothing that needs to be done to it so I can continue to modify my truck.

Thanks for the comments.

Love the foxbody! Very cool to be the original owner of one.... It was my dream car in high school. Class of 1993. I still want one, but I want rust-free, everything works, never wrecked, and not drastically modified.... so yeah, good luck, right?
