Default LED or no

I am thinking about changing all of my light bulbs to LEDs. Is there any one that has any input on this and possibly have any pictures with the difference before and after

A quick search and you’ll find a wealth of information on this. There is a long thread dedicated just to this.

The short answer is, yes. Many have switched to LED but the success varies greatly. Some LED’s are terrible and scatter light everywhere and some are brighter and close to proper OEM light cut off.

In before the "You can't put LEDs in a reflector headlight!" crowd

As long as the led chips are the same size and positioned in the exact same position in the headlight as a halogen filament would be, you will have no issues. I use Sylvania LEDs for the tail lights, third brake light. Sinoparcels for the headlights. There's a big thread here on the sinoparcels on here.

Get an OEM LED third brake light. I noticed the halogen bulbs actually melted the reflectors in the original housing. LED lamp is way better, and illuminates the bed better. It's not just led bulbs swapped in but a complete redesign of the optics.

The OEM headlights are super expensive. If you use bulbs make sure they are done right and not blinding oncoming drivers.
I'd just leave them as halogen.

OEM LED taillights are also expensive but look good.

Go with the OEM LED license plate lamps from the super duty. LED bulbs in the F150 assembly shine on the tailgate and add glare to the backup camera.

Is there that big of a difference between the F150 and F250 LED Fog lights? I'm assuming the F250 version may be a bit brighter? I read through most of that thread but since it started with someone installing the F250 version it wasn't really discussed. Just trying to understand the difference before jumping on the bandwagon. Thanks!

None, they are identical. They started on the F250 and then came as an option on 2018+ F150. The cost difference is because the F250 part includes some plastic that isn't needed in the F150 application and is thrown away.

I was using the Sylvanias for my brake/tails but felt they were a little less intense than other LEDs I'd used in the past. I had good luck with the LEDs from superbrightleds in my Ford Escape so I decided to go with them again and am very happy I did so. These are a bit more than the sylvanias, but significantly brighter, and seem to be a little more visible from different angles in the rear.

I need to swap the 3rd brake light over still, that's on my to-do list.

I couldn't bring myself to spend the money on OEM LEDs (or the Morimotos, which look weird to me anyhow) so I went for the Anzos and did an LED swap in them. I've seen a few folks speak poorly of the fit/finish and light output from them, but for the price, I'm absolutely amazed. The patterns are great, light throw is excellent, and even with the high/low LEDs, I'm probably in them for a third of the cost of OEM. I did do Morimoto fogs and am very happy with them, and picked them up for about $150 less than going with OEM.
