Here is our problem. Dealer told us this is like the other vehicles and is normal. It has been in multiple times they they ripped the rubber seal on the side and all.

Exactly what a lot of us are experiencing with our dealers......Either told its normal..... Or the dealer simply telling owners to wait for an "official" fix from ford. Horrible ownership experience on this very expensive truck.

As per your Ford dealer, "its normal" like others, annoying and irritating noises!! I'm sure the passengers and owner really enjoys the quiet luxurious ride?

Now those noises, along with the panoramic glass roof, as designed "wet seal"' where water drains and leaks on your head, dash, headliner and Ford stating not to use a high powered car wash! Makes a buyer think twice before getting a glass roof, I suppose?

As per your Ford dealer saying its normal, Normal does Not make it Right!

Good luck to you!

Its easy to adjust/align it, it will, however, take 2 people, to get the back panel flat with the back edge.

Here are instructions for alignment and reset procedure.

Finally got too irritated by the knocking sound and brought my 2015 Lariat into the dealership here in Napa today. Not surprised but they did not hear the knocking sound. Said they heard a creaking and that they tested it against another new truck on the lot and it is considered NORMAL! I am so irritated and feel like such an idiot for buying a Ford. Need to offload this hunk of garbage as quickly as I possibly can. From the knocking in the sunroof to the cheap plastic in the dash making cracking noises whenever the temperature hits above 50 degrees, a $57K truck should NOT be making these sounds. Very frustrated at this point.

I aligned my panels, and the noise is gone.

Anyone in my area (Charlotte) needs help, let me know.

I would suggest looking at the top of the panels, ensuring the edges are flat/level with the roof edges, and each other. If not, then at least you can point to the issue and tell the service department guy "Hey, would you look at that!"

I'm sure your offer for assistance is appreciated, after all that's an important function of these forums.

But wouldn't it be nice if Ford stepped up to the plate and publicly recognized the problem? Just to say, we have some glass panel roofs that have a slight noise, some not all, and we are working on a solution. And we appreciate your patience we know it's annoying, and we'll have a solution available as soon as possible.

If they did that, and put a memo out to all dealers and a notice on the forums, customers would appreciate the customer service.

A little customer service would go along way. Instead of compounding an annoying issue and frustrating customers even further.

I agree, it would be awesome for manufacturers to step up and tell customers when there is a problem, but that's not how they operate.

We've been living with malfunctioning seat coolers for a year, some more, and there is still no proper fix!
