Default Keyfob???

Is there a way to leave your keyfob in the vehicle and lock your doors because I don't like carrying it around? I don't see the advantage to a keyfob if you have to carry it around because on my 2014 I could leave it in the truck and just use the door code to open. I see NO advantage to having a keyfob!

There is a hidden storage spot for the key fob. On the center console style it's in the SYNC 3 compartment below the radio, in others it's under the cupholders I believe. Lift up the rubber on the bottom of the compartments and you'll see it.

If you have the number pad on your door, then yes, you can lock your keys in the truck. However, if someone breaks the window to gain access to your truck and they're able to locate the key, they will have a way to turn off the alarm and start the truck.

THIS^^^^ I do it all the time. Hide the keys and lock via the numerical pad. Works great when I'm fishing so I don't drop the keys in the lake or hunting and don't want keys jingling.

Pretty sure you insurance might have something to say about you leaving the keys in the truck too.

I've hidden my keys in the truck, and used the lock pad on the door pillar when hiking or swimming.

Too use the combination lock, and hide my keys in the truck.

As far as insurance goes, 15 years ago I had a car stolen out of our garage. My wife left the garage door open, and the keys in the car. Insurance paid no problems. If your worried check your policy, I bet it's covered. If not switch insurance becasue you have crappy insurance.

Farady Bag.This works perfectly. It makes the key fob invisible, so you can hide it anywhere in the truck, or even outside it.

It also gives you anti-hacking protection, if you might be concerned about that.
