Keeping rain off the backup camera
One of the annoyances I have with my F150 is that when it rains or drizzles or whatever, it gets on backup camera making it practically worthless to use. This has never been an issue in the past with other vehicles because the camera was tucked underneath the car body in some way but the F150 is just hanging out there in the open. It's angled down in an attempt to have water just run off of it but it doesn't really work.
I've tried cleaning it and applying RainX to see if I could get water to run off of it better but it hasn't worked out. Ideally, I'd like something to kind of cover the top of it so it doesn't get water on it directly.
Has anyone else found this annoying enough to find a solution for it somewhere?

I just keep a microfiber cloth in the truck and go back there and wipe it off when I really need a crisp picture, such as when backing up to a trailer tongue. Even if it were pointed down, I think the mist that your tires kick up in the rain will blur the lens.
I have a different gen of truck but have the same issue. I’ve made it a habit of just wiping it off with my thumb when I’m walking up to the truck and it’s raining. I’ve been thinking of making some type of hood out of plastic to mount over it. Unfortunately, I’ve been thinking about it for years.
