Just took delivery. Not as ordered.

I know this doesn't help much but on the 5.0 when adding the FX4 package automatically stuck me with the 3.31's. So the dealer would have had to make sure they added the 3.73's as optional equip on top of the FX4 package in your case.

Here is mine from July 12. Page 2 showed the other options, including FX4.

Just curious, but did you get an order sheet like the one I received for my 2016? I had to sign that before they would order the truck.
If you got one, and it does not match your window sticker, then you could argue that they gave you the wrong truck, obviously not what you ordered.

If the order sheet says 3.73 and you got 3.31, I would think that the dealership should step up and change them. Otherwise, you have some recourse, although you took delivery without doing your due diligence. I would document your contacts with them on Monday, as well as researching the laws in your state.
Make sure you end the day by officially documenting things so that if you end by saying you want to nullify the sale because it wasn't equipped "as ordered" you have recourse.

I think you misunderstand. I am not trying to whine. I already accepted responsibility for not doing my due diligence by checking out the window sticker. My bad. I was simply asking for advice on approaching the dealer on this situation.
Thanks for the comment though it was helpful.

I get it OP. When I bought my truck(s) I saw the window sticker online. I never verified with the dealership that the VINs matched up or that the trucks had what they say they have. I'm not crawling under the truck to verify if it really does have a 3.73/3.55/3.31 gear ratio. Honestly, I didn't pop the hood either. Nor did I check tire pressures, fluids, panel alignment, light bulbs, etc. like some people claim to have done. It's just not something I feel like I should have to check/verify. I've been enlightened since joining this forum but I still won't bring my overalls to buy a truck so I can climb all over the place. At some point, you have to make the dealership accept responsibility for certain things. Meaning, we shouldn't have to be the checks and balances to make sure the dealership didn't "pull a fast one" on us.
I honestly feel that if you go up there and tell them you got the wrong gearing, they should verify what you ordered, verify what you have, and investigate what happened as to why it's different. Upon discovering either a mistake from Ford or a mistake in the order, you should get at the very least a gear swap; at most they take the truck back and order your truck again. That isn't something a free maintenance plan is going to fix. You specifically asked for 3.73s.
You do your part ordering the truck, they do their part in building, delivering, and selling said vehicle. This utter crap I'm hearing with "well you signed for it" bothers me to the core. Anybody who accepts that nonsense from their dealer, or anybody for that matter, I feel sorry for you.
What if you discover your spare is missing 30 minutes after you drove off the lot? Well, you signed for it.
Give me a break.

In the op's defence I have never checked my window sticker on any of the vehicles I purchased. Just assumed it was right and always has been.
