You can't always rely on just certain Dealiars that others have received good deals from. Find trucks 'In Stock' that you desire so you can get a nice portfolio to send inquiries for quotes to. You never know which Dealiar may need your sale to meet a quota program they're working towards. Sometimes hardliners could soften temporarily and you just happen to be a Buyer that's in the right place at the right time.

Window Sticker shows $1,395 Destination Charge and you have $1,295 on the PNA.

Your post shows the following:

Blue box - 63730
Discount - 9230
Price before tax, tag title - 54500 SO THIS INCLUDES $2,000 REBATES AND DOC FEE (and who knows what other rebates you may not qualify for - clearly looks like a Dealer Weblisting)
On the PNA, what does it specifically state in bold red print at the top of the 'Post Negotiation' section? This now brings it down to a 11.6% TDDP.

NC Dealiars are not known for TDDP's over 10.5%. That's why I am skeptical of the Dealiar Discount because it might contain a Private Cash Offer also that they looked up and you not knowing about. If that's the case, then you have to back that out of the Actual Sales Price as well.

I see this Dealiar is baiting you to come in to the showroom and it's very likely your deal is going to do a 180 deg. turn once you're there. Many NC Dealiars have Add-ons that they may not be telling you about. Some of them conveniently forget to tell you that it's got 2000 miles on it. Have you asked?

Your initial post asked for our thoughts.

My response: You're not prepared to purchase a truck at this time due to not reading this thread. You've already made the classic mistakes and that Dealiar is not finished mopping up the showroom floor with you yet!

My Recommendation: Go to Post# 3051 to read through the remainder of the thread thoroughly so you can learn how to be in control of your deal every step of the way and purchase your truck for the best possible price in your area.
Thanks for looking. Reading some of the earlier threads now.

Has anyone used the new grad program on an F150? I qualify for it and it appears to be $500. On top of that, I have $1,000 PCO. I'm guessing once I arrive at a final number, then I ask about those two items? The PCO is in my name, so based on previous reading, the dealer may already know about it?

One mistake I see in my original pricing worksheet, is that I let the dealer tell me the total discount instead of differentiating what the dealer is giving up versus Ford rebates and special programs.

It's awesome to see how you've learned your wrong ways with a little bit of reading.

Yes, this Dealiar may already have included that $1,000 PCO into that Dealiar Discount. That would take your deal back down another 1% which would make it around 10.5% TDDP - more inline with what Dealers work at. I would try to start over by asking them for a quote sheet with a breakdown of what your numbers are. Tell them you need to know all of the different rebate programs available to you because you're possibly going to consider a lease. Tell the Sales Gnome you'd like that list of rebate incentives currently available to you in a separate printout from their Smart Vincent as a friend of yours who purchased recently received. That should show if they have your $1,000 PCO. FYI, the $500 Grad Incentive can't be combined with a PCO.

-- Do you have any other Dealiars that you're working with or plan to?
-- Are you willing to travel to Maryland where Dealiars like Koons work between 11.5 - 12.5% TDDP?

That's exactly what I'm going to do. I read about the Smart Vincent printout, so I'll ask for that, then compare the the dealer discount. I'm fairly certain the dealer is taking credit for all Ford incentives so it appears they are heavily discounting themselves. At the moment, I am working between two dealers in this area, but would consider traveling a bit if I can't reach the 12% mark. The positive and funny thing is, I've been looking at these trucks for 2 years now, so I don't need a vehicle and it won't kill me if I didn't get a 2018. I'd just try again later in the year or try for a 2019. My initial thought was to find the bottom these two dealers would go, then take another $1,000 from that for my price. Then I would just say, call me when you need to move a vehicle and I'll come get it. Could be end of month, could be to meet some stairstep incentive, I don't care, just call me and I'll come down with my checkbook.
That said, I need to be at an extremely good deal to pick one of these trucks up. I drive about 2500 miles a year...

Holy....Koons has the truck I was working on with two dealers in my area for 2 grand less plus they call out two incentives I qualify for that aren't included in the price. Looks like a trip to Maryland is in order.

I hope you're basing that amount on carefully working back what Koons has in fine print in the middle of the listing and all the way at the bottom as to what's included or NOT included in their WOW price! You can't go contacting them if you haven't educated yourself about cloaking your information.

Most definitely. I'm more familiar with my local dealer's websites and all their fine print, but I won't squander a deal because I didn't read enough! Been on Koon's site for a while to see what I can learn.
