Well Top. You convinced me to refi next week. Your right dealers make piles of money and i could give 2 ****es about them losing $750. Going to my Bellco CU Monday/Tuesday to refi at 3.19% also this assures my dumb *** doesn't get to busy and space all this B.s. to start with. Thank you for the sound advice.

DCU is at 2.49% and RBFCU is at 1.95%. Rates have been rising lately though.

Just for a bit of clarification for some that may be trying to break down these numbers, Scott has included a $397 Doc Fee in his Sales Price number, otherwise the Actual Sales Price for the PNA would be $43,537 instead of $43,934.

Great job!
Top,what's the likelihood of getting a similar TDD for a factory order for a comparable truck in NYC? Or should I just try to get as close to $1,000 below invoice, which according to your spread sheet would come in at about 9.28%

Thanks again to TopToBottom for the spreadsheet which was extremely useful in determining all the different numbers and to all the forum members who've been posting their deals and advice on this thread. I started shopping on Jan 28 - also the day I joined the forum and brought my truck home last weekend. I'm attaching the details from my deal in Northern California as entered in the spreadsheet. This is a Platinum, SuperCrew, 6.5' bed, 4x4 with the 3.5L engine. All correspondence with the dealer was done via email, text and 2 phone calls (30mins each). Only stepped into the dealership, after a price was agreed upon, to inspect the truck and test-drive it.

Now comes the really hard part - deciding on a bed cover, etc, etc.

Most NY Dealers are stingy with the discounts. I've never negotiated with any in the immediate NYC area but I would assume they would not be competitive due to the costs of operating a business there. If you need to stay close to the city with your purchase, I would suggest dealing with Levittown Ford which is not that far away from NYC Being that their high-volume dealer and have phenomenal reviews. I was going to deal with them on an XLT last year, but it turned out that they had converted it to a Roush package and didn't have any other truck in stock that I liked.

Smart man! Ford and the Stealers are raking in the cash due to the over-inflated F150 Pricing. It is a known fact that this Pickup has become their cash cow. When you can offer rebates on an XLT on the average of $5,000 and then apply certificates on top of it at the local Dealership level, they both are still making money, so I would never ever feel sorry for them. What one fails to constantly remind themselves of, just think of the poor saps that they screwed into overpaying when you benefit by negotiating a good deal. All you're doing is getting some of that poor saps money back out of the Dealer's hands. There's more poor saps overpaying then there is savvy F150 Buyers getting awesome True Dealer Discounts.

As far as getting good service afterward, just find a reputable one and they'll always take care of any Ford customer if they want to keep your business. Most will accommodate you with a loaner or free rental. Not sure if this is in all states but my visit to a KIA Dealer recently resulted in leaving the car overnight. They actually have to have you sign out for a car as a free rental with a rental contract that they pay for. They can't call it a 'Loaner' - very odd! So I'm not sure if that's just a PA thing but many people call that live there call it Pennsyltucky. I've also seen where some Dealers now have a mini-Enterprise rental office on site- or have working relationship with a neighborhood office that'll pick you up if your vehicle has to be held up in the shop for more than a Day for warranty and recall work.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing here because it helps others in California to show that it is possible to get above 9.5% True Dealer Discount. Most everyone in California has not been able to get Dealers to move into the numbers like you have, especially on a Platinum where Dealers tend to not great discounts.

I also notice that your rebates reflect some extra cash certificates amounting to $1,000. It seems a lot of these are showing up in order to sweeten deals. It's probably to account for slow first-quarter sales being after the new year which is post-holidays and the fact that the winter months especially with the cold weather we've had across most of the country. I'm sure this has impacted sales.

Enjoy your new truck and may you have many carefree miles with!

Just got a quote from Koons of Baltimore on a factory order.
The build sheet is attached. $49,395 + tax, tags, freight, processing fee(300). That is with the $1500 Ford finance/ customer cash.
I'm happy with that number, but I don't like that msrp includes freight but dealers still play the game of "$× + freight".
Just want to show whats being offered for factory orders. I still have a few emails with other dealers that I'm working on so we'll see what the final number is.
